Umbro GT: Go Faster
As we start to look forward to the new football season, we’re very excited to unveil our new boot, the lightest we’ve ever made: the Umbro GT.
In football speed is your super-power. It’s what gets you to the ball, the chance, the goal, the glory first. Umbro GT is our lightest, fastest, boot yet. It’s a boot precision engineered to give you that power. It’s a boot for a player who doesn’t just play fast, but lives that way too.
In creating the Umbro GT, we were looking for a solution that brought the idea of speed to life in a way that would make living and playing in the fast lane seem like the only way to go. And here it is – a concept that smashes art, lifestyle and speed together to create super-charged-pop-powered-art. We reckon it leaves our competition floundering in our slipstream, what about you? Great, we’re glad you’re up to speed – now here’s more info on what makes the Umbro GT so special…
Built for speed and style, Umbro GT is a significant step forward in the boot world for us. After the classic Speciali and the sleek Stealth, Umbro GT is a step into the world of speed. Crafted from a single piece of Japanese Teijin micro-fibre, the upper on the Umbro GT is designed to reduce weight, increase strength and provide a streamlined shape for the wearer.
It’s also a stylish thing to put on your feet. Available in two striking colourways – a sharp black and lime green or a cool white and orange – Umbro GT will certainly get you noticed on the pitch. It’s the perfect boot for a speedy, stylish player such as Sunderland and England striker Darren Bent, who will be one of the first players to debut the Umbro GT in the 2010/2011 season.
After he’d tested out the Umbro GT for us, Darren said: “I can’t wait to wear the new Umbro GT. Not only is the boot incredibly lightweight, which will help my speed on the pitch, it also looks good. I like to play my football with a degree of style and it is great to have footwear that reflects this.”
Umbro GT will be on sale from August 1st. For details on where to buy it, or to check out some downloadable wallpapers head over to the Umbro website now.
