The New England Kit: Revealed!
The new England kit will be officially revealed in just over an hour at 5:15, when the England team walk out onto the pitch at Wembley for the England vs Slovakia game.
However, as promised, we’re revealing it here and on the Umbro.com website a little bit early.
So, here’s what you’ve been waiting for, the very first official photo of the brand new England football shirt:
And if you’d like to see what it looks like actually worn, here’s John Terry modelling it for us:
Let us know what you think by leaving your comments below. We’ll be updating the blog with more news and reactions from Wembley over the next few hours.

A very classic look, and I am sure it is very well made.
It will certainly stand out, compared to other International kits.

An instant classic! Just a quick question, are the white shorts going to be the first choice shorts or are there going to be navy ones to wear usually?

Fantastic!! We’ve waited years for a traditional, normal kit…36 years to be precise since the last one.

Saintlymark – the all-white kit will be the default choice for matches! See the reasoning behind this here: http://blog.umbro.com/2009/03/28/the-new-england-kit-all-white-on-the-night/

Really, really good. Well done for being so brave. I’ve little doubt you will be pilloried by the narrow minded few, but keep the faith because this is class. It’s not a polo shirt, it’s the best kit to grace football in years. And the whole process in sharing its development has been great…

A great looking shirt – for golfers.
Just saw the Umbro ad during half time. What a joke! So everybody that springs out 50 pounds for the new shirt is going to get a “bespoke” piece of clothing. What a bunch of nonsense.

I have a question for Tom. Was the England squad not wearing a ‘number’ on the front of the shirt a one-off?
I thought the Setanta commentator had said the FA got special approval from FIFA to not display the number. But I don’t know if that meant yesterday’s match only, or from now on we’ll see a number on the front.

Thanks for all of your comments. Well spotted Gareth! There was no number on the front of the shirt just for the first game. We wanted to keep the shirt looking really clean and all white when it was revealed on Saturday. The number will be on the shirt from Wednesday, if you want to see how this will look (and see your name and number on the shirt!), check umbro.com
