The History of the England Shirt
Last Friday we launched our new website umbro.com. On the site there is now a complete history of the England home kit from 1872 to the present day. There are some real classic shirts if you go back through the history. In particular the one from 1872 looks more like a woolly jumper than a football shirt! You can also download a screensaver of all of the past kits and sign up to receive kit email alerts.
Be sure to leave you comments about the kits on the site. Some nice ones already include:

1997 – 1999
Nice shirt. Remembered for the Hoddle days and a good England team, beating France & Italy in the Tournoi de France in 1997 – “SHEARER!”

1952 – 1954
No short sleeve shirts then, just roll up your long sleeves and get on with it!
This is the first part of the site to launch relating to the new England kit. On the 23rd of March we will add a series of movies to the site detailing the development process. Then on the 28th, one hour before the Slovakia game, umbro.com will be the first place that you can see the new kit!
