It’s going to be the most colourful summer of football ever and to celebrate we’ve got a great competition for you. We want you to capture the mood and the excitement of the occasion whether it’s on your street, on your holidays or even if you’re lucky enough to be in South Africa.

They can be snaps from a cameraphone or personal works of photographic art, we just want you to capture the spirit of the beautiful game, from the fans to the football and everything in between. Simply post your pictures to our ‘Spirit Of South Africa’ group on Flickr before the 14th July, just like the example at the top of the page by Flickr user JuliaC2006. One lucky winner will get the chance to watch the England Team train and then be Umbro’s offical photographer at Wembley for the England versus Bulgaria Euro qualifier – plus they’ll be able to take pictures with the brand new Sony NEX 5 (pictured below) – the world’s smallest pro-quality camera which has just launched to rave reviews.

Entries will be judged by the team here at Umbro as well as top international photographer Stanley Lumax who is on the ground in South Africa taking pictures for us.
