St. George’s Park, Tailored By Umbro
A new centre for coaching and training in England, St. George’s Park is being built by The FA to improve standards at all levels of football, from grassroots to the national team. And it’s all Tailored by Umbro.
Work started on the St. George’s Park last week, marking the beginning of what we hope will be a new era for English football, and we’re very proud to be the lead partner on the project. Last week, Umbro was at the site in Burton-upon-Trent to see work begin on the massive project.
A 330-acre site, St. George’s Park is designed to cater for footballers at every level. The site will feature 12 full size football pitches, including synthetic and indoor pitches, as well as facilities for futsal, partially sighted football and gymnasium.
The Park will also be the centre of The FA’s education programme, capable of teaching thousands of coaches in the correct way to play the game. They’ll be able to do this thanks to a swathe of conference suites, lecture theatres, libraries and training facilities on the site.
Overall, St George’s Park is as exciting development for anyone who’s interested in football in England. It should help to promote a better standard of football throughout the country, and help to give those with the biggest talent an opportunity to fulfil their potential. Tailored in England, and Tailored by Umbro.
We’ll be keeping you up to speed with all the developments at St. George’s Park here on the Umbro blog, and we’ll also be speaking to some of the key characters behind the scenes in the future. If you want to learn more about the Park, take a look at the FA site.
