So, we enter the second round with what should be a fierce battle between two England shirts. Both the more old-fashioned shirt that was worn up to the 2000-01 season and the newer shirt with the red stripe worn from 2001 onwards have their plus points, but it’s up to you to decide which one goes further in this competition. The 00/01 is a classic England shirt…it stripped away all the unnecessary flashes of red etc and gave out a strong image…(shame the team couldn’t live up to it). The dark navy shorts also added to the ‘no messing’ style.

Both of the kits are great but the 2000-01 should be top since it has a strong , classic look to it , Flashy colours don’t matter , what matters is the statement and meaning to it.

I agree with Rich. The earlier kit is clean and simple. That vertical red stripe and the blue piping make the latter look a tad busy. I’ll always favor solid shirts and kits over those that are accented.
