1350: when the 90 minutes are over, there’s still 1350 left to play
Away from the 90 on the pitch, there’s still 1350 minutes left in the day, time that is influenced and inspired by football, but spreads into other things. Whether it’s music, other sport, gaming – we all have something we do to pass the time until those moments on the pitch roll round again.
That’s what we’re looking to celebrate with the launch of our new Diamond Icons range. A collection of great products that are perfect to wear at the game and in the 1350 away from the match, Diamond Icons is inspired by the iconic ‘taping’ that featured on some classic kits in the 1970s.
We know that a lot of us will do similar things with our 1350, but we wanted something a little different to help us reveal the idea. That’s why we’ve gone with tattoos.
Love them or loath them, but tattoos are a big part of the 1350 for both footballers and fans. That’s why we’ve spoken to two big tattoo enthusiasts about their artwork and why they chose their particular designs. Aston Villa and England star Darren Bent features in the video above alongside Peru and Fiorentina star Juan Vargas, talking about why they love going under the needle.
Over the next couple of weeks, we’re going to be exploring the world of tattoos, the people that get them, and how they connect with other aspects of their 1350. We’ll also be taking a closer look at the items in our Diamond Icons range, and we might have a competition or two as well, so you best stay glued here to the Umbro blog and website for the latest.
Before all that though, see if you can answer this question: What do you do with your 1350?
